gate.ruhr has a trimodal transport connection with water, road and rail links. Companies can use a connection to the Wesel-Datteln Canal, the nearby A52 and the existing rail connection. The company Evonik is planning to build six parallel tracks for the future use of the railway connection.

As part of the feasibility study, a traffic report was prepared that analysed the current traffic load and developed traffic forecasts. In addition, six different variants for the traffic connection of the area to the trans-regional road network and thus for the expansion of the road infrastructure were examined and evaluated.
